This app isn't sold on the App Store, so building it on your own Mac is a one-time, few-minute step. Nothing stays installed on your system except the app itself.
You'll see 4 files together in one folder:
build_mac.commandIf macOS says it can't be opened, right-click it instead and choose Open → Open. A Terminal window appears and does everything automatically — downloads what it needs, builds the app, then cleans up after itself. Takes a few minutes.
You'll find it at dist/D6 Downloader.app inside that
same folder. Drag it into your Applications folder.
macOS blocks any app that isn't from the App Store the first time you open it — that's not a bug. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to "Security", and click Open Anyway next to D6 Downloader. After that it opens normally forever.
